Microdermabrasion is a mechanical exfoliation treatment that treats the uppermost layer of dead skin cells from face, chest or hands. It is an effective, non-surgical way to treat acne, wrinkles or uneven skin tones by ex-foliating the top layers of skin using a non-surgical and un-invasive treatment.
What does Microdermabrasion involve?
Microdermabrasion Treatment involves using oxide micro crystals that gently sandblasts your skin leaving it renewed, healthy and glowing.
It also stimulates collagen production, helping your skin to rejuvenate faster than normal. The procedure usually takes half an hour and may require a few sessions in order for full effects to take place.
Price: £55 per Session (45 mins)
How does it work?
Your skin is cleansed using a special gel. The procedure then involves using aluminium oxide micro crystal flow, which is sprayed throug
h a small tube that is pressed against the skins surface. The crystals are very fine, sand–like material that blasts away the uppermost layer of dead skin cells.
The crystal flow starts as soon as the hand held device touches your skin and is used all over your face, not just on treated areas, so you don’t experience inconsistency in skin texture or colour.
After the procedure is completed your skin is treated with nourishing sun block, allowing you to continue with your day as per usual.
Why use it?
Everyday skin is exposed to many environmental elements. Over time sun rays, pollution and other damaging factors can take a toll on your skin. Microdermabrasion treatment can help reduce the unwanted effects of these causes and improve your skins appearance.
If you have problem skin, with anything from acne, enlarged pores, wrinkles, uneven skin tones or undesired pigmentation, which causes you to feel insecure or less confident then this treatment is for you.
How effective is microdermabrasion?
Each treatment takes approximately 45 minutes. In order to achieve the maximum effect, a series of at least 6 treatments is required, one treatment per week. Microdermabrasion is effective on diminishing and even getting rid of fine lines, blackheads, scars and wrinkles. Actual results depend however on prior medical conditions and your skins ability to recover.
What areas can be treated with microdermabrasion?
The areas that can benefit from this treatment are the face (including the mouth, cheeks, chin and forehead) , the arms as well as the neck.
